13-year-old Class VII student found dead

by admin

A 13 years old Class VII student was found dead in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida, Police said on Thursday. One of the victim’s schoolmates has been nabbed for questioning.

The body of Himanshu Joshi, a student of Ghaziabad’s Shevron School, was discovered just off the highway about 8.30pm on Tuesday with wounds on the neck, chest & forehead, all inflicted by sharp-edged weapons. Himanshu was the son of Harish Chand Joshi, a local BJP leader & businessman in Ghaziabad.

The two days before the murder, Himanshu had been bashed up by three Class X students of his school. The boys were punished by Himanshu’s teacher after he complained. The boys had reportedly threatened to get even.

A senior official of Police said, “We are not ruling anything out at this stage. But right now, we have reason to suspect that some students led Himanshu away to Bisrakh on some pretext & killed him there”.
