11 killed due to heatstroke in Orrisa

Many parts of the state have been witnessing above 40 degrees Celsius temperature during the past few days & the state government is receiving information about the deaths of people from across the state
An official said, “We have received information at least 11 deaths due to sunstroke in past two months”.
Places where day temperature has crossed over 40 degrees Celsius include industrial towns of Jharsuguda, Talcher & Sundergarh. These places have recorded temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius this summer.
