11 killed as school bus fell into river in Mangalore
Aug 14th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, Cities News, India News, National News, States NewsAt least 11 people, including seven children, have been killed & 20 others missing when the bus they travelling was skidded off a bridge & fell into Palguni river near Gurupura, about 15 kms away from Manglore. While six children were rescued, search was on for other passengers.
The mishap occurred when the driver of the bus, carrying around 35 people, lost control over the vehicle which was on its way to the school. Karnataka Government announced Rs 1 lakh relief to each of the families of those who died in the accident.
