A BSF jawan has been killed fter his refle went off accidentally while he was on duty at a camp in Rajouri district.

Jawan Jasbir Singh of 69 battalion of BSF was posted on guard duty at Triyath camp when suddenly his gun went off late last night. The bullet pierced through his head, killing him on the spot.

In other case a jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at a camp in Jammu & Kashmir.

Sepoy Kitty Kumar, 21 years old was posted on guard duty at 22 ammunition coy under operational command of 9 corps here when he shot himself with his service rifle early on Monday. An inquiry has been ordered in this connection.
