‘Kishenji’ aides held in Lalgarh with landmines

Kolkata , Jan 12th.

Six suspected Maoists allegedly close aides of elusive Maoist leader ‘Kishenji’ have been held by the Central forces in the ‘metalla’ jungle near Salboni in West Midnapur district. Rajiv and Ranjit Mahato along with five others were caught by the ‘Cobra unit’ of the Joint forces, on Monday night, while on combing duty. They were held with one directional mine, flexible wires, Ever ready batteries, chargers etc.

They were later produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate N N Dasgupta and two of them have been sent to seven days of police custody while the rest to fourteen days of judicial custody.

The two main accused are said to be close to Maoist leader Kishenji and happens to know about his whereabouts.
