Varun Gandhi, who was in controversy due to communal speech, withdrew his bail plea from the Delhi High Court. Lawyers of this BJP Lok Sabha candidate on Friday withdrew his bail plea.
The pleas was accepted Justice Reva Khetrapal and allowed him to withdraw the petition.

According to the court, “Without going into maintainability issue and in the merit of the case, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.”
After the withdraw of the plea the Uttar Pradesh police can now arrest Varun Gandhi as the anticipatory bail granted to him expires today.
Lawyer of Varun Gandhi, Ryan Karanjewala, said earlier today that the BJP leader would not move the Supreme Court to defend himself in connection with the ‘hate speech’ he is alleged to have made in Pilibhit.
The spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party reacted to the new turn of events by saying to the press that the party leadership has given Varun Gandhi the ‘green signal’ to go ahead and court arrest in Pilibhit.
It is also learned from sources Varun Gandhi would reach the Pilibhit court on Saturday.
