Hizbul threatens terror attacks during polls

by Sunil Sonkar

Just a couple of days after the warning of possible fidayeen strikes by the intelligence agencies to disrupt Lok Sabha polls, the chief of Hizbul Mujahideeen, chief Salahuddin threatened to launch terror strikes during the Lok Sabha polls.

One of the private channels in India reported that the terror outfit issued warning of attacks and especially during elections in the J&K.

Hardly 2 days ago, the security agencies of India were placed on a high alert following an intelligence report that 7-8 trained pilots and around a dozen fidayeen women have entered the Indian border on a mission to carry out terror strikes and hijackings in the country.

The security arrangements in India were beefed up following the input that was received 6 days before by Maharashtra police and also by some other security agencies. This input was 3 days before the threat e-mail landed at the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai and also at the Taj property in Chennai.

All the security agencies in the country have now been briefed about a group of twenty people entering India. Sources say, “A group of 20 people, who could be Pakistani nationals, have entered the country to carry out terror strikes or a plane hijack. The group includes seven trained pilots and 13-14 women.”
