WEST BENGAL, India: After Vasudhara Raje, now the West Bengal BJP chief had been stepped down for poor performance of BJP in the Lok Sabha election. He has been stepped down a day after Raje bowed to pressure.
Satyabrat Mukherjee resigned from the post of West Bengal President of BJP to abide with the party decision to remove all unit heads in those states where the party performed badly in the Lok Sabha election. Rajnath Singh accepted the resignation. Rahul Sinha has now taken over the post.
BJP is maintaining appointing new leaders in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and other states where BJP performed poorly.
