Arunachal Pradesh registered 70% votes where as the turnout in Maharashtra and Haryana was 50 and 40 per cent respectively.

In Haryana’s Kaithal district a polling agent Jyoti Ram was killed in a clash between Dillu Ram’s (Congress nominee) supporters and Kulwant Bazigar (Independent candidate) in the Gulha assembly constituency. Jyoti Ram represented Bazigar.
