Sukhbir Singh Badal elected as President

Sukhbir Singh Badal hte son of Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister of Pumjab, was elected the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Thursday. Sukhbir Singh Badal a Rajya Sabha MP, was elected to the top post at the party`s general House meeting held here. Parkash Singh Badal said to our reporter Kulwant Singh that after handing over the party’s power of control to his son Sukhbir Singh Badal, Parkash Singh Badal will now act as the patron of SAD. Sukhbir’s name was proposed by Ranjit Singh Brahmpura senior party leader & vice president and seconded by SAD general secretary Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa-DailyNews Report.
