Retired Lieutenant General files petition against five Army officers

30th March, 2012, New Delhi: Retired Lieutenant General Tejinder Singh has filed a petition in Delhi High Court. In the writ petition, he has requested for action against five Army officers which includes the present Army chief General V. K. Singh.vk singh picture

Other Army staffs named by the former Lieutenant General is Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General S. Singh, Director General of Military Intelligence Lieutenant General B. S. Thakur, Additional Director General of Public Information Major General S. L. Narshiman and Lieutenant Colonel Hitten Sawhney.

Army Headquarters’ media cell had brought out a press release charging severe allegations against Tejinder Singh. Few days back, Army Chief V. K. Singh has alleged that a retired Army officer offer him Rs 14 crore bribe to clean the purchase of sub-standard vehicles for defense forces.

Retired Lieutenant General Tejinder Singh has requested the court to summon and begin proceedings against General V. K. Singh for making defamatory comments against him in public.
