Panaji, Jan. 28 — In the 9-year-old Russian girl rape case in Goa, the Goa police released the photograph of the accused on Thursday.

Bosco George, the Superintendent of Police (North), released the photograph, but he refused to divulge any more on the issue.

He said to the media, “I do not want to comment anything right now. We will issue this photograph to all the police stations, railway stations, airport and border posts.”

The girl was allegedly raped inside the water on January 26 at Arambol beach when she was taking bath on the beach. She was holidaying with her 34-year-old mother there, which is 35 kms from Panaji.

The mother filed a complaint on Tuesday evening with the Pernem police. She had described the accused as 30-year-old square faced, tall person having big round eyes and also some white spot on the upper lip.

The police raided various guest houses and sought help of artists in drawing a sketch.

Earlier in the morning Bosco George said that they could not get the accurate sketch of the accused despite several attempts.
