Probably the meeting was put off to get some time for the government in finalising the floor strategy.

Meanwhile, Dr. Singh discussed with the UPA allies about the floor strategy.

Both the House were adjourned till tomorrow. In the day, the Rajya Sabha faced unprecedented scenes of pandemonium with SP, BSP and RJD members when the Bill was moved for consideration. The members of these parties tried to attack Chairman of RS.

Few members of the parties, including RJD’s Rajniti Prasad, tore the copy of the Women’s Bill and some others members tried to reach the Chair raising slogans against the bill.

They even tried to uproot the mike of the Chairman on the table and also threw the stationery placed on it. However, the security attendants shielded the Chairman from the agitated members from climbing on the table.

All these was witnessed just after law minister M Veerappa Moily moved the Bill for consideration. The Bill provides 33 per cent reservation for women in Lok Sabha as well as in the state assemblies.

It was ridiculous ,what had done by RJD and some other party’s members on 8th March. Why these men are reacting like this,it is strange. They are MP’s ,this is not suppose to do by them, there is some dignity of this reputated place.
Are they afraid of women power of India. In my openion ,there is a lot of power in women of India, and if she will get such oppertunity ,she can do miracles in India.
