2nd August, 2013, Shimla: Parts of Himachal Pradesh were rocked early morning as 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit the region. In Himachal Pradesh, the quake was felt conspicuously in places like Shimla, Spiti, Kangra, Kullu, Chamba and Lahaul.
According to reports, tremors shook the region at around 8.30 am in the morning. The epicenter of the quake was Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar region.
As of now, there were no reports of any loss of life. The earthquake lasted for few seconds triggering panic among the local residents.
On 13th July, the region experienced a 4.5 magnitude quake that lasted for few seconds. The epicenter of the tremor was Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district.
