Mig-27 crashes, Pilot escapes

An IAF spokesperson said to DailyNews reporter Balwant Singh that a fighter plane named as MiG-27 crashed near Hashimira Air Base in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal on Thursday. The sources said,”the pilot who was on a regular training eject safely through a parachute”. S Tripurari (SP) Superintendent of Police of Jalpaiguri told that the plane crashed near Chinchula tea garden on Thursday at 12:40 pm. When the jet apparently developed some technical snag due to which the accident occurred & Mig-27 crashed.
