India handed over the answers to the 30 questions of Pakistan to the High Commissioner of Pakistan to India Shahid Malik. Shahid Malik confirmed to the media here that he has received a set of 32 replies from India.

Briefing to the press, Home Minister P Chidambaram said that India had provided solid bases for Pakistan to act upon. He also said that if Pakistan is serious about the Mumbai terror attack investigation then the answers provided by India provides solid bases for the investigation.

In his speech Chidambaram also mentioned that India expects that Pakistan should act by apprehending the culprits and handing them to India or prosecute them in their country.

Chidambaram further added, ‘Now Pak must prove its intent by acting on the details.’

Shahid Malik Pakistan High Commssioner to India also confirmed about the submission to the reporters saying, “India has just handed over its response to the 30 odd questions raised by us. I will pass it on to Islamabad and it will help in the investigation.”

P Chidambaram in his brief stressed that Pakistan must act decisively against the Mumbai attackers now.
