India and China to hold border talks once again


Two Asian giants India and China will be starting a fresh round of talks intending resolve a long-running conflict over the Himalayan border.border talks picture

There are several regions, along with this range, has been the reason of dispute for years and they fought a war in 1962.

Previously, both India and China hold a number of talks to find a solution.

The China government was not too happy when Manmohan Singh, the prime minister of India went to Arunachal Pradesh for poll campaign, in 2009.

Two months ago, the China’s ambassador to India involved himself in a heated exchange regarding a map, which records few parts of India within the border of China.

Dai Bing-guo, the State Councillor, is leading the Chinese delegation. He stated that this is a golden time to farm the India – China relations and both the countries must keep aside the differences.

He wrote, in an Indian newspaper, things like China’s effort to attack India or suppress the nations’ development does not exist. There are various areas where India – China can work together as there is enough space for both the countries to accomplish common development.

National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon will lead the Indian delegation. In a statement, India’s external affairs ministry stated that both side will hold talks on a wide range of global, regional and bilateral issues of common interest.

Previously, both India and China have taken on each other saying that the other is invading their land. India has always told that China is invading their Kashmir territory whereas China has always claimed that Arunachal Pradesh, the north-eastern Indian state belongs to them.
