WASHINGTON, US: The ten month old US administration is looking forward for strengthening global economic recovery together with its new ‘indispensable’ partner India.

India and US together marked a historical moment by signing a strong ‘nuclear deal’. On the first official state visit of Singh in White House, Obama Tuesday remarked that US-India ties will be a ‘defining partnership of the 21st century.’ Obama called India as an ‘indispensable’ partner and ‘a rising and responsible global power’.
India and the US signed a vibrant treaty on ‘advancing global security and countering terrorism’. The deal consider in region of education and development, health and cooperation, economic trade and agriculture, and green partnerships to widen the scale of their strategic partnership.
Addressing with Namaste in the joint conference inside the White House, Obama spoke of the deep bond between the peoples of US and India admitting their admiration for the Prime Minister’s leadership. He said that it is a historic opportunity for both the countries to strengthen and broaden the partnership between them.
Just after acknowledging China’s key role in South Asia in a US-China mutual statement, Obama remarked India’s role as a global power.
‘As far as the nuclear deal is concerned, the President has reaffirmed that it is the common resolve of our two governments to operationalise the nuclear deal as early as possible,’ Manmohan Singh said.
‘To prevent future attacks, we agreed that our law enforcement and intelligence agencies will work even closer, including sharing more information,’ Obama said. ‘The American people join our Indian friends in remembering the horrific attacks in Mumbai one year ago this week,’ he added.
Both the leaders remarked that the deal should have to fulfill in every point of view without any failure.
