Beijing, Feb. 08 — According to the government-run website in China, India is “intensifying military penetration” in its neighbouring countries Nepal and Bhutan. These two Himalayan kingdoms, suggests Chinese analyst, have become conflict theatres between military strategists from China and India.

Dai Bing, the Chinese analyst, raised a rare issue by mentioning that defense equipment has been deployed by Bhutan Air Force along the border with them. However, the website did not mention about the type of equipment been deployed.
He said, “The struggle between pro-India and pro-China forces in Nepal is at a critical stage and China needs to pay more attention to its interests there.” He was citing a media report that air base is being build in Nepal by India.
The article also said by the analyst that India has even “encouraged Russia” in providing logistical and military helicopters support to Bhutan. It continued further complain that India has helped Bhutan to establish and equip Air Force. The article also expressed worry over the growing military cooperation between India and Russia.
