Likely today the chargesheet against Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, will be filed by Mumbai Police.
The reports to media tells that the charge sheet would be filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate in Esplanade court in Mumbai. The special court has been constituted in the Arthur Road Jail itself. The court would conduct the trial in connection with the case.

Ujjwal Nikam, the Special Public Prosecutor told reporters that the formalities regarding the chargesheet have been completed and final touches are being given to the charge sheet.
Nikam also mentioned in his brief, “Considering the gravity and magnitude of the case, it will be committed to the special court constituted in the Arthur Road Jail where trial against Kasab will be conducted.”
Ajmal Kasab’s confession statement was also recorded before the magistrate in Esplanade court the previous week.
Pranab Mukherjee, the External Affairs Minister, on Monday said to the media that India will respond to any information sought by the Pak government in connection with 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks probe if it comes through official channels.
He also said, “India will cooperate “as and when”.
