Veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare will not be campaigning against Congress in all the election bound states, as decided earlier. Kiran Bedi told that they have called off the campaign due to Hazare’s poor health.
After meeting Anna Hazare in Pune’s Sancheti Hospital, Bedi said doctors have advised him to take rest and the team Anna members have also asked their leader not to travel in states. She further added that his health has improved but he needs complete rest at this point of time. He will have to spend few more weeks at the hospital. Doctors stated that Hazare is responding well to the treatment.
According to the reports Team Anna core committee will be meeting on Saturday to decide their further strategies in their anti-corruption campaign. While speaking to Bedi, Anna Hazare shared his ideas and thoughts.
Anna Hazare has been running an anti-corruption campaign and pressurizing the UPA to pass the Lokpal bill. Anna had also called for a jail bharo campaign, which he called off later. After the UPA government failed to pass the Lokpal bill in the Rajya Sabha, Anna told that he and his team will be campaigning against the Congress in all poll bound states and ask people not to vote for congress. After that many people thought that the movement, which started as a non-political movement, is slowly entering into politics.
