20 arrested for violence in Mumbai
Feb 4th, 2008 | Category:India NewsTwenty political workers, including 15 from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) & five from the Samajwadi Party (SP), were arrested for indulging in violence in Mumbai where a political rally was held by the UNPA. K L Prasad Joint Commissioner of Police told reporters,”We have arrested 20 people from Dadar for indulging in violence before the commencement of the rally. Some vehicles have been damaged & people were also beaten up”. Maintaining “both sides” were involved in the violence, Prasad appealed people to come forward & lodge complaints so that police can take a strict action against the culprits.
