Eating large fish make kids increases the risk of mercury poisoning

Health experts say that eating large fish like swordfish, marlin & shark may make young children increases the risk of mercury poisoning.This proposition comes along with reports that high levels of mercury, linked to developmental delay & brain problems, have been found in three chilren in Sydney, Australia.

Health officials have disclosd that the effected children, aged fifteen months to two years, had consumed five times the recommended amount of fish. Reported in the Medical Journal of Australia, the three cases were the cases of congee consumption, a rice & fish porridge used in Asian communities as a weaning food.Small children should eat small fish.
