Mosko Alkalai an Israeli actor passes away
Apr 2nd, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, Entertainment News, World NewsMosko Alkalai an actor has died of respiratory failure on Tuesday local time. Mosko Alkalai was 77 years old. Alkalai was hospitalized & underwent surgery in Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center several weeks ago, but was unable to recover. He is survived by his wife & two sons.
Mosko Alkalai had won the Israeli Film Academy’s 2003 Lifetime Achievement Awards. He also took part in various public activities & was the chairman of the Israeli Union of Performing Arts a member of the Israeli Arts Council & a member of the Israeli Film Academy.
CEO of Second Authority for Television & Radio Menashe Samira said, “We mourn the passing of a dear friend & partner, a gifted actor who pushed to anchor original creations in Israeli television. He was a role model to a way someone in the public eye should carry themselves. He will be sorely missed. I can only hope the magnificent legacy he helped create will not only live on but will grow stronger”.
