3rd May, 2013, New Delhi: Actress Huma Quereshi is all set to host the 60th National Film Award. The event will take place in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. The awards will be given by Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India.
At present, the Gangs of Wasseypur is shooting for her next film Dedh Ishqiya by Abhishek Chaubey. According to reports, Huma told that when she received the call from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, she was both thrilled and surprise. She added that any kind of association with the National Film Awards is a huge honor. And she is also very excited the meet the first citizen of India – President. Some said that Huma was selected because of her ability to converse in Hindi Fluently.
The 60th National Film Award will be hand out on 3rd May, which also marks 100th year of Indian cinema. Along with Huma, the award function will also be co-hosted by actor R Madhavan, who told that this is the very first time he has got the scope to host an award function which is as big as the National Film Awards and he is really looking forward to it.
