Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija has accused her husband Sirish Bhardwaj for tormenting her over dowry. Srija has lodged a complaint against Sirish and has sought help from Central Crime Station. Srija has been mentally and physically tortured by Sirish since the past few months for dowry in spite Srija’s giving of crores of rupees to him.

Srija has told a CCS officer that of late it has been a practice for Sirish to come home getting drunk and torture Srija. Sirish has reportedly demanded Rs 1.5 crore from Srija. A case under section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been filed against Sirish, following which he has been taken into custody. Sirish’s parents will also be interrogated by CCS.

It is to be noted that Srija married Sirish against the wishes of her parents and had also sought protection against them in 2007.
