14th July, 2012, New Delhi: If you keep three different kinds of people under the same roof, there has to be some drama and fun. And as the name suggests, the film is really a ‘Cocktail’ that the viewers can relish. The lead roles of the film are shared by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and debutant Diana Penty.
In the film, we see Meera (Diana Penty), who comes to London in search of her husband, who turns her away after conning all her money and left her alone in an alien land. We also see wild child Veronica (Deepika Padukone). She parties hard and attains her living as photographer. Veronica sympathizes with Meera and takes her to her own house and soon they turn into good friends.
Then Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) enters the scene. He is someone who flirts with each and every girl with cheesy one liners. Gautam starts casual flirting with Meera but soon they become serious about their relationship while holidaying in South Africa. On the other hand, this is the time when Veronica realizes that she is also in love with Gautam. Then a roller coaster ride starts among the three lead characters regarding their relationship.
