Lynwood, California, July 19 — Lindsay Lohan is likely to spend several weeks inside a nondescript two-storey building in an industrial neighbourhood, beside busy freeway, far away from Hollywood.
Lohan, 24-year-old “Mean Girls” and “Georgia Rule” star, is being punished by law for violating her DUI probation and this stay is part of her punishment. Her sentence will begin Tuesday at the bleak, south of downtown Los Angeles.
She will be housed in the 2,200-bed facility’s special needs unit. Here Lohan will be in isolation for few weeks for her own safety.
This is not the first time that Lindsay Lohan is inside the lockup. In 2007 she had spent 84 minutes for a drunken driving offence.
Lohan may be in jail only for three weeks in her 90-day sentence. She would be out for the premiere of action-thriller “Machete”, which will open on September 3. In the movie Lohan would be seen as a nun.
