Dia Mirza, the famous bollywood actor has been fined over Rs. 1 lakh for carrying undeclared goods of around Rs. 2 lakh. Dia Mirza landed at around 2 am when she was returning from Bangkok via a Thai Airways flight.
According to an airport official, the actor was stopped and asked to her luggage when she was passing through the green channel of the airport. While checking, officials found some undeclared items like branded cosmetics and purses worth around Rs. two lakh. Mirza was allowed to go after she paid the fine of Rs. 1 lakh. The official added that the model turned actress was not aware about dutiable items by the customs.
Among other bollywood personalities, Minissha Lamba and Bipasha Basu were charged for carrying undeclared items, last year.
