Debashish Bhattacharya, the state nodal officer for dengue cases said, “Ten fresh cases of dengue have been reported in the capital Monday. This has taken the total number of cases from 999 to 1,009.”

He also added further that in the total confirmed and reported cases, 13 are from outside the capital.

Till now there have been 2 deaths report due to dengue. One is of a 15-year-old boy and the other of a 9-year-old boy.

Bhattacharya added that with the onset of winters this number is going to come down.

He told to the reporters, “The dengue causing mosquitoes cannot breed below a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, hence with the onset of winter and decreasing temperature, the number of cases reported would significantly die down.”
