10 years old Sanjeev burnt to death in Alipur
Mar 14th, 2008 | Category:Cities News, States NewsFive drunk members of a marriage party burnt a 10 years old boy to death in Alipur village on the outskirts of the capital on Thursday night. The burnt body of Sanjeev was found one km inside an agricultural village in Alipur on yesterday.
Though police said it was not yet clear as to what led to the murder, locals claim the boy, who was riding a bicycle, was hit by the vehicle of a marriage party travelling to Alipur village from Meerut. The boy apparently demanded a compensation to repair his bicycle & enraged over this, four men came out of the car & allegedly beat him up.
An official of police said, “We have detained five members of the marriage party including two cab drivers in this connection”.
