Corporate Affairs Minister Says Satyam Probe Almost Complete

Chennai, Feb.06 – As the investigation on multi-crore rupee Satyam scam case is almost finished, government expressed that the case will be on “fast track.”

Corporate affairs minister, Salman Khurshid said in a press conference, “I hope it (the case) moves in fast track. As far as the courts are concerned, we have been given an outstanding team of lawyers.”

“It is now for the courts to do what they must do. I do hope that we will able to show progress during the year and then we can tell the world that our legal system works on par with other countries,” he remarked.

Financial statement of Mahindra Satyam the earlier IT firm Satyam Computer Services reaffirmed and disclosed avoidance balance sheet of years last January.

Khurshid also mentioned that the bill would be vesting more responsibilities with the share holders and hence to involve them in the fundamental decision making process.

He even added that it would strengthen the audit committee also and the appointment committee, remuneration committee too. It will essentially give the share holders more protection.
