Now, prepaid and postpaid users will have to spend 3 paise for ten kb data download. Accessing the net and video calling is much cheaper on Airtel. The company also has increased download limits. Now users can download 300 MB data for Rs. 100, instead of 200 MB. The telecom company has around nine million users, but only twenty-five percent of those are active net subscribers. With this price reduction, Airtel can surely lure their users to use subscribe 3G data plans.

The telecom market in the country is already watching a tough battle among service providers, and with this move things are going to be even more interesting. Airtel stays as an exception compared to other telecom players. In last one year, all providers increased the voice tariff rates.
