Umpire Ameesh Sahiba suspended for two matches after “Sree provoked” remark
Ameesh Sahiba an umpire has been suspended for two IPL matches on Tuesday for talking to the media regarding the Harbhajan-Sreesanth slap row & has been asked to answer the showcause notice served to him by BCCI within 48 hours.
Ameesh Sahiba was officiating the Mumbai vs Mohali match during which Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth.
Earlier in the day, Umpire Ameesh Sahiba has claimed that Sreesanth had provoked other players during the match. Sahiba said that Sreesanth had commented on the other players in the opposition team & the senior umpire on the field, Aleem Dar had also been informed about the incident for which the fast bowler was warned on two occasions.
