Two bomb blasts in Baghdad
Two bombs blast occurred in a crowded shopping district in the capital city of Baghdad on Friday in which 53 people were killed & 130 injured. A roadside bomb exploded in the primarily Shiite, middle-class neighborhood of Karradah & was followed a couple of minutes later by a bomb in a nearby garbage can.
An official of Police said the blasts also damaged seven shops & four parked cars. Many of the victims were teens or young adults & four were women. The official said, “The aim of such attacks by al-Qaida is the random killing of as many people as possible in order to terrorise the Iraqi people”.
