Tessa Birnie dead

A concert pianists from New Zealand, Tessa Birnie, has died on Thursday in Sydney. He was 73 years old. Tessa Birnie was born in Ashburton in 1934.
She studied music in Wellington & made her debut as a concert pianist in Paris in 1960. She was also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. Birnie was described as “the marathon woman of the keyboard”.
