SUV killed 1 in New York
Apr 5th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsAn 11 years old boy has killed & his father critically injured Saturday (IST) after they were hit by an SUV while crossing a street in Brooklyn in New York. Hui Gho Li 49 years old & his son, Brian, were struck by a Nissan Pathfinder as they left a Sunset Park billiard club near their home at about 10 p.m..
An eyewitness said that the victims never glanced at the truck bearing down on them. He said, “It looked like the driver was trying to make the light. They were running together & he hit them both at the same time”.
Both were rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where the son died. Li remains in critical condition. The driver of the Pathfinder, John Zaharatos of Lanesville, N.Y., remained at the scene & was not charged with a crime.
