Suicide car bomber rams NATO-led convoy
Mar 12th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsA suicide car bomber on Monday rammed into a NATO-led convoy in Afghanistan’s southern city of Kandahar. An official said that one vehicle was destroyed in the attack, which targeted Canadian troops.
NATO soldiers cordoned off the site of the attack & smoke could be seen rising from a house located nearby. Afghanistan has witnessed rising violence in the past two years, the bloodiest period since US-led troops overthrew the Taliban’s government in 2001.
