Suicide bomb blast at Pakistan army camp killed 5
At least five killed & many injured when a suicide car bomber attacked a Pakistan army base in a troubled tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Thursday. The bomber rammed vehicles at the gate of the military camp in Wana, the main town in South Waziristan district, where Pakistani troops have been battling Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants for several years.
An official said, “It was a suicide attack. Five troops lost their lives & a dozen others were wounded. An army truck, some cars & soldiers were stationed at the gate of the camp & the bomber rammed his vehicle into them & blew him up”.
The officials confirmed his account of the attack. Senior officials reached the spot where the suicide car bomb was exploded. They are investigating the matter.
