Protest in Lhasa again
Mar 30th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsA protest was again reported in in the Tibetan capital Lhasa on Saturday as diplomats wrapped up a trip organised by Beijing in an effort to blunt criticism of its crackdown on unrest in the region.
An official said that a protest was began at Lhasa’s Ramoche monastery & grew to involve “a lot of people”.
He said that there were “some reports of fighting”, but had no other information.
People also protested at the Jokhang Temple, a major Buddhist site in Lhasa, the so-called government-in-exile of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, said on its website.
