Police raid killed 11 in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil
Apr 4th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsPolice has raid on a slum on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro on Friday (IST) in which 11 people killed in Brazil.
An official of Police said that the operation led by the civilian police was aimed at a drug gang that worked within the Coreia slum, known as a favela, in the Senador Camara neighbourhood.
The authorities did not immediately give details of the raid & did not say whether any police officers or passers-by were among those killed.
