Police arrested 250 Tibetan protesters in Nepal
Police has arrested 250 Tibetan protesters, including women, on Tuesday near the Chinese embassy in the Nepalese capital as they staged anti-Beijing demonstrations demanding independence for their Himalayan homeland.
A senior official of Police said that some of the demonstrators also sustained injuries when they clashed with police, who tried to disperse them.
The protesters demonstrated in front of the Chinese Embassy demanding freedom & human rights in Tibet, the latest in a series of protests being staged by Tibetans in Kathmandu following the violent pro-independence demonstrations in the Tibetan Capital Lhasa last month.
