Pervez Musharaf Returns
Jan 29th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsPervez Musharraf the President of Pakistan returned home today from a four-nation visit to Europe during which he attempted to shore up support for his controversial regime.
While attending the World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland, Musharraf met the leaders of France, Belgium & Britain & held talks on a wide range of issues, including the situation in Pakistan and the probe into former premier Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. The President also had meetings with Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak in Paris last week.

Musharraf was welcomed at the Chaklala Air Force base by caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro, National Assembly speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain, Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and senior civil and military officers.
