Perth’s Internaional Airport reopened after Bomb scare
Australia’s International Airport has been reopened after it was shut down on Saturday night following the discovery of four suspicious packages on a Malaysian Airlines flights. Police has checked the packages & said it did not pose a threat.
A senior official of Police said, “Following an extensive operation overnight, we are satisfied that the contents of four suspicious packages removed earlier from a passenger aircraft at Perth International Airport no longer pose a threat. The packages have been removed from the terminal apron to a safe location & have been thoroughly examined”.
The evacuation of the airport began at about 6pm local time last night after the suspicious packages from incoming Flight 125 were discovered. Police said the decision to disrupt international flights was “not taken lightly” & was “unavoidable”. Domestic flights continued as normal.
