Military bombs found in Brisbane, Australia
Apr 14th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsAustralian police has found large military bombs in a recycling plant while they were clearing an area in Brisbane’s inner east in Australia.
A senior official of police said that the area, at 61 Anton Rd, Hemmant, had been cleared as a safeguard while investigations were made.
The official said, “We’re clearing the area to check for unexploded ordnance that was located in a recycling plant”.
The spokesman said several military rounds were located when cleaning through dumped items. They’re like bombs that are dropped from planes. Most of them are cut in half, but we need to check that they are all inert.
