Man arrested outside the White House
A man who made verbal threats against US President George W Bush was arrested on Monday outside the north fence of the White House, the Secret Service said today. Secret Service spokesman, Ed Donovan said 28-year-old Aleksandar Aleksov, of New Jersey, was taken into custody just before 2 pm (1900 GMT) on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Aleksov was charged with making threats against the President. Donovan said Secret Service officers overheard the threats.
