Five rescued after plane ditched in to water
Apr 3rd, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsA light plane was ditched into water off Squeaky Beach on Carlisle Island in the Whitsundays on Thursday. An official of RACQ Rescue said all five people on board had been rescued safety.
They would be flown to Brampton Island where they would be assessed & a decision made on whether to take them to Mackay Hospital. The aircraft was submerged in water 200m off the beach.
the aircraft was carrying a pilot & four passengers.
