Earthquake struck Indonesia
Aug 7th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsAn earthquake of magnitude 5.7 struck Indonesia’s Sumbawa island on Thursday damaging hundreds of buildings. The epicentre of this earthquake was about 1,000 kilometers east of the capital, Jakarta. It was relatively shallow at about 10 kilometers.
More than 250 homes, mosques, shops &schools were damaged. The damage included cracked or toppled walls, collapsed rooftops & cracks.
