Earthquake struck Iceland
May 30th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, World NewsAn earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck southern Iceland on Friday (IST), reportedly causing injuries & damaging roads & buildings. The epicentre of this earthquake was about 50 km from east-southeast of the capital, Reykjavik & was about 10 km below the Earth’s surface.
It was unclear exactly how many people were injured or the severity of their injuries. A hospital in a town near the epicenter was also reported damaged & some wings have had to be evacuated.
