Earthquake struck China killed 5
An earthquake of magnitude 7.8 struck central China on Monday in which at least five killed & many injured. Five were killed when two primary schools & a water tower collapsed.
Four children died when their schools in Chongqing municipality collapsed. More than 100 students were injured, including two who were seriously hurt. Rescue teams were dispatched to the collapsed schools, but no details were available because communication systems were down. The epicentre of this earthquake was Aba prefecture of Sichuan province
The earthquake struck 92 kilometers northwest of the Sichuan provincial capital of Chengdu at 2:28 p.m. (IST). Chinese President Hu Jintao ordered that the injured be quickly treated, saying lives were of the utmost importance.
